I started my first painting this weekend. I have wanted to try painting since I was a very young boy but never seemed to get around to it. Over the past few years that urge has grown stronger and stronger. About a week ago or so we were in Hobby Lobby and I purchased a few canvases, then about a week ago or so I got a nice background color and a few other things. Finally on Friday I gave into my desires and got the rest of the items I needed and started preparing the canvas that night. Saturday I spent a small part of the day sanding the canvas and painting the background. Then to finish off the night I roughed in the sketch to be painted. It was a very relaxing process that calls to my tedious nature. Slow and sure wins the race every time I read the book.
